For more than 70 years Kashmir has been a contested region, seeing war after war, resulting in violence, death & poverty. In the last few weeks, the region finds itself isolated and cut off from the outside world. Following the shutdown of telephone and internet services Kashmir is more alone than ever before.
For the past 12 months we have been delivering aid into Kashmir, working closely with our partners in the region to provide essential food aid and more longer term sustainable projects.
Now at this critical time we continue to remain in dialogue with our partners and remain ready to begin distributing further aid as soon as it becomes possible to do so.
To help ensure we are ready and prepared to offer effective assistance when the call comes, please donate what you can today and help remind Kashmir it is not alone.
It costs just £25 to provide a food parcel, sufficient to last a family an entire month.
