Why sponsor a Hafiz ?
Learning the teachings of the Qur’an is a vital component of the Islamic faith. But despite this, thousands of vulnerable children and orphans across the world are deprived of their right to an education. In addition, many of these children must begin to earn a living and contribute to their family when they are still very young.
When you sponsor a Hifz child, you reap untold blessings as they learn, memorise and teach the Holy Qur’an for years to come.

Importance of supporting a Hafiz in Islam ?
It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The one who recites the Qur’an and learns it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven) and the one who exerts himself to learn the Qur’an by heart and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward.”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4653; Muslim, 798)

What Feedback is provided?
One Nation will provide you with a profile within 1 month that will show you the child you are supporting along with some background information.
An end of year report will be sent to you on an annual basis displaying the progression of the hafiz and their ambitions. A video of the student reciting the Quran will also be included in the report.
How long does the sponsorship last?
12 months if paid annually. If paying monthly, then it will continue until donor chooses to end the sponsorship
How long will it take for a child to become a hafiz?
3 – 5 years on average.
Please Note: As the situation in Syria is very unpredictable, families often relocate in search for a better life and economic stability hence the child could leave the hafiz programme without notice. A new child is then allocated to the donor.
