In April 2023, fighting broke out in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. Currently, more than 6 million people have been displaced and at at least 1.2 million people have fled the country. Sudan is now the largest child displacement crisis in the world, with 3 million children fleeing widespread violence.
The conflict has been escalating in other areas of the country, including North Darfur, North Kordofan, South Darfur, Kassala and Gedaref.
Many people are currently left without food, water and electricity with thousands of civilians leaving the affected areas.
One Nation teams are delivering food aid, water and other items needed.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease a difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter.’’ – Tirmidhi.
