Yemen has been torn apart by conflict for the last two years. More than 6,100 people have died – half of them civilians.
Yemen is the poorest country in the Middle East, torn apart by conflict and gripped by hunger. Almost half the country’s residents are malnourished and have no access to clean water. Deadly clashes and air strikes have killed and injured thousands of people. Millions more have been forced to leave their homes and are struggling to find food, water and essential medical supplies.
With your Support One Nation will be providing food packs, water and also medical aid to families in Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Aden and Marib.
Almost 14.4 million people in Yemen are food insecure. This includes more than seven million people in desperate need of food assistance; that is one in five of the country’s population.
During an intense 12 months, markets have been bombed, water plants and businesses destroyed and most essential services have ground to a halt. Almost 600 health facilities have closed due to damage or a shortage of supplies or staff.
